How To Play Guide :-

From all the casino games you can enjoy both in land-based outlets and online, roulette is amongst the simplest and most fun to get involved in. It doesn’t matter if you have never given it a go before, you’ll probably still be aware of the appearance of the game and you’ll be pleased to find out that it’s very easy to get started. Even if you only recognise the way the game looks you can soon be playing with the best of them. Go on, give it a burl and you may win big.

The Wheel

The central part of the table, even the online version, is its wheel. The standard wheel is made up of 36 numbers, from 1 to 36 with each odd and even number changing between black and red as you go round the wheel.  The two main variations of roulette are European and American and the wheel differs slightly in each game. In European there will be a single green 0 on the wheel as well and the numbers whereas in American there will be both a single green 0 and a double green 00. To win roulette you need to predict where the ball will land when the wheel is spun and there many different options to choose from.

Roulette Betting

There are a number of different betting options available to you when you play. The betting zone of the table has a grid which is filled with the 36 black and red numbers and also the zeros, either 0 or 0 and 00. Players can place their bets on individual numbers that are on the grid or choose to gamble on which colour the ball will finally settle on when the wheel stops spinning. Players can also choose to spread single bets across more than one single number so the chances of winning are increased.

Of course, as with all casino games, you can develop strategies and bet in certain ways to attempt to achieve more significant wins and this comes with experience and practice.

Pay outs

Obviously there are some bets which are more likely to score you a big win than others. If you choose to just bet on a single number you’re less likely to win than if you choose to bet on a colour for example, this is because just under half the options will be of your chosen colour whereas your one number only appears on the wheel once. The odds on particular bets are quite easy to work out and the most popular combinations pay out as follows:

A wager on one number pays 35 to 1
A two number wager pays 17 to 1
A six number bet will pay 5 to 1
A wager on Red or Black will pay 1 to 1

You may find the odds vary at some casinos, as is the case with different versions of the game but the changes in pay outs will only be very slight.

Online roulette barely differs from playing at a land-based site and the majority of casinos offer high quality, well-designed games which mean you can ensure you feel like you’re playing in a real casino environment.  There are several different online variations including video, virtual and live versions which are fast becoming more popular and give a different slant on the traditional game.
